Well Canada confiscated my mags, last summer.Canada wouldn't confiscate or charge you. However the USA is an entirely different beast. They can/will call for your extradition if they catch you.

Check around and see if any venders has the exporting paperwork in place. Buy it and have them ship it to you.I apologize if this is a recurring question. I normally search but I'm on these forums a lot and did not see this question com up regarding optics. I'm flying down to see family and my cousin is taking me to a local show that occurs twice a month. He says it rivals the annual Calgary show. I guess all I'll be doing is tire kicking.
I ordered two BX 25 x2 mags from Brownels and as they were not on Brownels Itar list? They shipped them to me. About two wks later I got a letter from Canadian Customs , telling me they were being held as they are prohibited . They gave me three options,1: appeal. 2: pay for shipping back to Brownels.3: forget about them. I then called the agent involved, who was in Toronto , I believe, and after a little chat I decided option 3 was the best. I called Brownels and was told that these mags were not on any prohib or itar list , that's why they shipped them.
It wasn't a bx 25.http://www.rcmp-grc.gc.ca/cfp-pcaf/bulletins/bus-ent/20110323-72-eng.htm
It is well known that the BX 25's are prohib. You have to buy the Butler Creek or similar.
