Can I Carry a Photocopy of my LTATT?

I'd rather carry a photocopy because, in five years, the original could get pretty ragged.

Short answer, photocopy is good.

Yes in Alberta they Fax or email you your LATT I make a copy for each of my vehicles and 2 for the filing cabinet

I have copies in the car , my wallet and all my pistol / restricted rifle cases , just to make sure ......

I live in Calgary and I had to call the CFO regarding a transfer and I asked about having a copy of your LTATT on your phone (PDF) and the gentleman I was speaking with said that would be sufficient. This is not acceptable for registration forms of firearms however. I guess an electronic copy of your LTATT is good to go....according to one CFO employee...in Alberta...

As far as I'm aware just having your LTATT number is good enough. Don't quote me on that though.

I make GOOD color copies of all wallet sized documents, laminate them and carry them. Strictly speaking, this falls outside the suggested practices of overreaching civil servants but those flimsy registrations are too impractical for life among the credit cards etc in my wallet.
