Can I laminate my registration cards.

I don’t see why laminating the cards would be a problem. My club recommends you keep the originals put away somewhere safe and carry photocopies for your range bag and gun cases. I have copies of all my registrations in 4 gun cases and one ammo box. I lost a copy of my registration for one firearm and have gone one step further and made PDF’s of them all. That way I lose one I can just print another and have a copy of them all on my phone as well.

I scan all my paperwork, the originals stay in the safe and if you e-mail a copy of the scans to yourself, you can print them out any time, anywhere. Also, if you forget them in your pants and they hit the wash machine, it's no big deal. Don't ask....

Since many people have smart phones, can you carry around a scanned copy on your phone as opposed to paper? I mean, airplane boarding passes and many other docs are now acceptable in electronic form.

Yesterday I went to Staples and had 2 registration card and 1 att laminated. Not the copies, all originals. It is much easier to store and find hard plastic than a soft piece of paper.

You would think that… Especially when the CFO just emails everything to you in the first place in order for you to print out (I'm referring mainly to ATTs), but the CFO's office said I must print it because an electronic version could be tampered with… WTF? Do you think they see the problem with that logic? lol

What I did was to purchase a booklet type credit card holder from Staples. It contains ten clear plastic pages with four clear pockets/page. When registration slips arrive for any new or recently acquired firearms, I make a copy and save that in an envelope. The other I cut to size and slip into an empty clear pocket. For convenience sake, the registration slips are arranged in the booklet in order of caliber size, starting from 22s to the 500 S&W. Oh, the booklet also contains things like my club membership and ATT and this whole package is left in my four gun pistol box. The pistol/shooting box also contains an inside lid mounted spotting scope and odds & ends for sight adjustment etc. That way, after just putting in the 'choices' of the day and required ammo, I'm ready to go.
