Can I neck size with FL dies?

Fellows,

I'm new to reloading and I couldn't find any .303 British neck dies so I bought a full length die set to get me going. I know that my 303 brass will last way longer if I neck size only. Is there a way to nexk size only with RCBS FL dies, or am I hooped until I can find a neck size die?
 
THere is a way to resize the neck and a little of the body without full length resizing.

Dial your dies back until they just resize about 90% of the neck. If you can't tell easily you can magic marker the neck and the die will wipe off what it touches. It will still touch some of the body but it won't be a full resize.

X2, and cheaper than buying neck sizing dies.;)
 
Yes just loosen your lug nut back your die up, put your shell holder to the top and put a nickle on the shell holder, screw the die down until it touches the nickle, tighten die and Voila! neck size away.
 
As others have said you can only do a partial neck sizing and in my experience if you want a proper job get the Lee Collet die or a neck sizer for your caliber. The sloppy chambers in alot of the 303's will allow too much body swelling and you will end up touching the shoulder alot sooner than you think, this will work against the benefits of neck sizing because only a very small percentage of the neck can get resized, runout will be a problem.

A bigger problem is the different bolt head sizes, three I believe. As I've been told, thats where most of the sloppiness originates. Even if the chambers are as you put it, 'sloppy', once you've fired the round in your rifle and then neck size or 'partially' resize, 'it' shouldn't be a problem.
 
Okay fellows. I reloaded a box of ammunition this afternoon with my 303 FL die backed up so that I was resizing about 2/3 of the neck, but not the case body. Seemed to go well and I cycled some rounds through my No5 Mk1 and they ran like butter through the action. I'll use the same 20 rounds for a few reloads and see how this process goes. Thanks again you crazy freakin' gunnutz!
