I have that Old Revolver , that im not sure where I got. Could be a toy , could be real who know ? One thing is sure it would need another gun to fix it. Check it out maybe you know what it is. Only thing written on it PAT.nov.4.1879

Purse guns such as those where turned out by the boatload. The octagon barrel was a popular Belgian thing to do I think. But there was usually a proof mark of some sort. Looks to be a decent quality unit. There was little in the way or regulations regarding firearms manufacture up until the early 1900's. I don't think serial numbers were required until the 20's. Good luck.

Possibly a Red Jacket in 32 rimfire, how is it dewated? I would go to the antique section and ask Dingus or some of the older guys on there, they love the hunt. You can even get parts for guns like that. I had one almost identical but in .38rf. If they are made before 1898 then they are antique and need no licence and you can take them to the range and fire them. You can even get the rimfire cases from Buffalo arms in the States. Get her up and running and have fun with it after you get a gunsmith to check it out. You dont even need an ATT to carry it but it does have to be in a lock box while in transit. But check the antique EE and ask dingus. I am sure many gunsmiths will check it out but I know Ellwood Epps on hwy 11 Ontario does work on them.
Cheers Graham

By the way it's definately not a toy. It's a rimfire and very common on antique gun sites'
If you put it on the antique EE you might be surprised what you can get for it. Also as an antique it doesnt have to be dewated and even the barrel length doesnt make it a prohib . That class doesn't apply to antiques. Iv'e had Colt Thunderers with three inch barrels sent up from the States and got the papers from the RCMP stating they were certified antiques and they were .41cal centrefire.

Looks almost like a Colt old line in .22rimfire. You would have to slug the bore to get the caliber. Go to gunsinternational.com and click on the cartridge guns prior to 1899. They will show you a lot of similar guns and the prices of them.

Wow alot of answer , thanks guys

Well problem is it's already De activated, I got it like this. Barrel is plug and there is multiple weld inside the frame to block the cylinder to open. I know everything is fixable as long as I can find parts.

Ill post this thread again in the antique section
