As the title states I was just wondering if it would be possible/ safe to get a cooey 75 (single shot, bolt action) re chambered to a .22wmr. I would of course have all work done professionally either by a gunsmith or a machinist with the appropriate expertise. I figured that because the case dimensions are essentially the same aside from length it would just be a matter of getting the chamber lengthened and tweaking everything else slightly so that it all runs smoothly. My main concern is of course safety, would the bolt/ barrel handle the extra pressure or would a be turning the gun into a pipe bomb? Also if the throw on the bolt long enough to extract the longer case or would I get stuck having to remove the bolt to load/ eject. Just a thought I had and still being a noob to the firearm scene I figured I'd seek the wisdom of the larger community before I went any further with the idea
