Can I say i hate .40 cal

Small hands are about the pistol's frame, not the cartridge.
Personally I hate the .40 S&W because it killed the .41AE I spent money on when you still could. It's kind of 'snappy' too. Even with the heavier spring.

why would you shoot a 40 cal when you could shoot a 10mm? just my opinion, but I personally prefer the 45 to 9mm but I would take almost anything almost over a .40cal personally, I really hate how frigging snappy they are, reminds me of my tokarev, I guess I always liked the original 10mm auto format then they woosied it down to .40 cal, please don't hate me, its just my opinion, but if your going .40 why not go 10mm, I know ammo is scarce and expensive but hey, nothing says Love like 200grains of hot lead flying at 3 times the speed of sound right.

Just thought id chime in on the caliber debate

I'm confused. The velocity of a 10mm is what, about 1300-1600 ft/s, and the speed of sound at sea level is about 1125 ft/s. Maybe you were confusing the MPH speed of 767 with ft/s.

Hummm very interesting, on the other hand why would you shoot 10mm while you can shoot a 40cal?? reload is way too cheap for 40cal than of 10mm....

people praise the 10mm but has anyone addressed the elephant in the room?- ie the 45 win mag, the 451 detonics or the 460 rowland

if you can't get good follow up shots with a .40 s&w…. then you are not TRAINING ENOUGH !!!!! I shoot at least 500 rounds a month of .40..Glock 22 Gen 4...

When I first moved down here I only bought 40sw pistols due to availability. You couldn't find a box of 9mm or 45acp anywhere but there was always 40sw on the shelf. I like it now. If you have a problem shooting it, the problem lies with you, not the cartridge.

question- I've got a 9mm beretta 92- to go to 40 is all I need is a barrel swap?- maybe a mainspring 2?

Some loads are as high as 230g 1825fps if you can find em here in canada for 10mm auto, thats a lot of energy hitting downrange

But I do agree a .40 will penetrate some windscreens and thick or heavy leather better than the .45 but that's always been an issue with .45

Generally when a vehicle is involved a rifle is called for if its that dire a situation

I think 22LR is the man caliber of 2014

Just bought one of those, too!
