My thinking as well been using Lee case spinners and steel wool for years on grotty brass and haven't seen this yet.I'd be curious about when this galvanic corrosion would take place? Just checked some IVI brass that I had spun as per Looky's description, and it still looks fine - I prepped these in about 1985.
I've had enough. I'm a gonna end this feudin' once and for all. Tonight I'm loading up one of my 3 tumblers with a box full of Win. white box 9mm loaded cartridges.
I'll be switching out tumblers every 12 hours, so as not to overheat the unit and causing detonation. I'll be doing a full month of tumbling. Non-stop.
At the end, I will go out to the club and fire off these rounds. If you don't hear from me on 4/18/2017, assume the worst.

I definitely would not even consider doing this and would feel stupid for even asking. That being said I am seriously surprised at the amount of people that see nothing wrong with this. I use a barrel tumbler with water, detergent, steel pins, and empty unprimed cases.
Not sure if its been clarified but when saying tumbling is safe does that include vibratory tumbling?
