Can I use a shotgun scope on an AR?

I like these compact low power scopes. Can I use them on my AR and can you get them with 30mm tubes?

Leupold vari x 3 do a 30mm tube but with a rifle reticule!

I think a shotgun scope on an AR is a good setup. A shotgun scope is designed to withstand the abuse of heavy recoil.

Shotgun Scope

Just remember shotgun scopes usually have heavy crosshairs and are parallaxed for 75 yards.

I used to have a Bushnel reddot on my AR180B back in the day. Worked fine.
