As I've mentioned before I am new to reloading, so todays question is this one: The only load I can find for Hornady bullets and my only remaining powder (Varget) is for the GMX bullets. Can I use the data for the GMX to load for a Hornady interlock, in the same weight of course? I would start with a light load and work up of course, to do otherwise would just be ridiculous not to mention life threatening.

Thanks guys.

I swap any load data for a bullet of the same construction. There are often differences in data when going between bullet construction types such as solid copper and lead core so I try to avoid that, some don't.
You don't need data for a Hornady bullet to load for a Hornady bullet. Any load data for a lead core bullet of the same weight from any other manufacturer will work for a Hornady Interlock of the same weight.

If absolutely no one has data for that cartridge with a lead core bullet of that weight using Varget there may be a reason for it.

The Hodgdon data site has data for a 300WSM and Varget for 125, 130, 150, 155, and 165gr lead core bullets. Any of that data will work for a Hornady interlock of the same weight.
Varget is a little fast for 300WSM so it doesn't work well for heavier bullets in that case.
