Can I use my PAL number to buy a firearm?

IMO if they won't take a down payment and hold it until you get your license I'd take my business elsewhere. Check out some of the sponsors at the top of the page.

:agree:

When my PAL upgrade to RPAL was complete, I phoned Prairie Gun Traders, ordered a SR9, no problem at all.

WSS wouldnt even entertain a down payment scenerio...

I tried 3 times over two days to get my license number from the women that answer the 1-800 number. The CFC wont give it too you only the CFO. But the CFC also will not tell you that the CFO can, just that no, they can not give out PAL numbers over the phone.

Scanned copy of PAL is needed for ammo purchases only, never had to send a scan for buying a restricted or non-restricted and I've dealt with a bunch of site sponsors and other. All you need is your lic. number expiry date and place of birth when transferring from a business, to buy you need MONEY.

I asked this while calling the CFO and i was just told that my PAL/RPAL was approved. The answer is no you're supposed to wait for the plastic to come in then buy a gun. LOLZ.I guess I'll wait. I don't see any problem with a store taking in a downpayment and setting the firearm aside for you till you get the license done.

Nope, I've never had to give a scan or photocopy for purchasing ammo. I've also purchased ammo with the number only and no actualy card

Call back, there are several people in this thread, myself included who have purchased firearms with no card in hand.
