Can I???

So I got ALMOST all of my parts for my newest AR build. Only thing missing is the bolt release/hold open. I would like to try it out tomorrow and can't see how it would do any damage without it in place but figured I would ask the knowledgable folks here first.
Thoughts?

As long as that is all that you are missing you should be fine to shoot it.
