Can m&p22 mags be disassembled?

Can m&p22 mags be disassembled for cleaning?

I went to disassemble mine and cant get the floorplate off with a fair amount of persuasion.

I'm now wondering if the floorplate is "permanently" fastened as to limit the capacity to 10 as I don't see any rivets anywhere and apparently the cap limiter is an extra factory piece in the bottom of the magazine.

My factory 10rd mags come apart exceptionally easily. Conventional baseplate design, nothing special to it. Maybe your mags were assembled incorrectly. The baseplate retainer needs to be oriented correctly. Though it's hard to imagine someone goofing that part up. Yes, the capacity limiter is internal.

The riveted mags won't let you remove the follower, but that's the only difference.

According to YouTube, yes, they can be disassembled. It's just a matter of pushing out the little plastic "nub" at the base of the mag. I haven't done it, but I was researching because I'm thinking of taking mine apart to clean and lube. (They feel jerky/gritty when I'm loading.)

Look at this web page, they explain how to disassemble the mag. You will have an extra part at the end not shown, it's the 10 round limiter. They are fairly easy to disassemble.
