Can old rimfire scopes be brought in from the U.S

I have found the models of old 22 rimfire scopes I would like to find, most if not all I have found are in the U.S. What hoops have to be jumped through to bring one into Canada? Or can I just order one up if they will ship North of the border?

Just because you got lucky, and the scopes weren't seized, doesn't mean that what you did was legal.

Most of what I read leads to firearms parts. My understanding is parts (essential to the firearm) are not allowed without being imported. Does that mean that a part not essential to the operation of the firearm may be allowed?
