I was just wondering if anyone knew if the polytech cq-a1 m4, or the norinco m4's can take after market heavy match barrels etc?

Thanks!!:sniper:http://www.canadiangunnutz.com/forum/images/smilies/new/sniper.gif

Norinco's are manufactured to the same set of measurement as everybody else, so it will take a different barrel.

That's not strictly true. I don't own one, but I do know that there are differences. I may be wrong with this, but I believe it has to do with imperial versus metric, and if that involves the threading required, then yes that is something the OP should be aware of.

ive installed Phantom 5.56 break and it worked so threading is not an issue

The M4 clones aren't a problem (all threads are standard), except that some of them have the barrel nut installed using an impact wrench - check with Mystic Player. You can also get a barrel from him.

Mysticplayer mentioned that he could not remove the barrel nut and that some sort of gorilla must have put it on there. Aside from that potential problem I would think all would be fine.

You're thinking of the CQ311, not the M4 clones. Even on the CQ311 you could install a different barrel but you'd have to re-use the barrel nut or use a new upper.
