Can some stores buy semi-auto 30 cal OIC'd rifles?

Question asked many times over the last years by couple guys, what to do with now prohibited rifles you'd like to part away but, still want it to avoid the smelter and get a few bucks back for it, what are the options? Otherwhise, destroy
ing the receiver and selling all the rest for parts (atrocious tragedy imo).

Yes. Any business that is licensed for prohib status firearms can purchase prohib firearms. There are a few "props" companies that also can purchase them.
Value on prohib firearms is not even close to what things were prior to 2020 and selling to a dealer or props company is a 1 way street. Once sold they are never allowed back on the civilian market.

Meh, wasn't expecting much to be honest, but that do close the case about the current options...

Sadly we're subjects, not citizens... Long live China eh.

I can't think of any positive political benefit for a new government to gain in overturning the OIC or handgun freeze
No, you would have to have politicians that are actually interested in good policy and in Canada being a strong and free country, rather than simply being focused on political gain. Even if we have some of those, they will probably be confined to back benches.

For what it's worth here, more & more non firearm owners on social media (X) are wondering why Canadians do not have the right to bear arms/CCW.

Question answered many times over the years to "not hand over anything until further notice"

Seems pretty clear.
