look guys, i need a little clarification here.

How does Trap / Skeet work? Never shot Trap / Skeet before so very very virgin to it.

What loads are best?
Can I use my Remington 1100?
Can a semi-auto be used?
Can a pump be used?

How does Trap / Skeet work?

What loads are best? - Light target loads...8s or 9s.
Can I use my Remington 1100? - Yep.
Can a semi-auto be used? - Yep.
Can a pump be used? - Yep.

Basically any type of shotgun can be used.

The Remington 1100 is a very popular skeet gun.
Pumps, not so much, you can do it but they do hadicap you, pumping the action wil cause you to come off target when shooting doubles, with alot of practice you can get good at it.
I will second the light target loads thing said earlier, I think most skeet clubs have a shot size rule, 7.5 is the largest for skeet I would stick with 8s but you may wish to use 7.5 for trap.
