I'm looking for a picture of a Brugger & Thomet Handgaurd on a vz58 rifle.

I dont believe ive seen one before... (maybe one odd pic..I cant remember )
But its hard to find this on the net.

If anyone has any pics , would it be any trouble at all to post them ?
Thanks!

Wow.

Thanks guys.

Now , is there any "review" on the B&T Handgaurd for the vz58 ? As in personal opinions, performance ( heat, weight etc.. ) . ?

Anyone have any feedback on the B&T ?
( Just want to know something / anything about it, before I drop $480 on it )

So what does this $480 part do that others don't? Besides saying "Brugger & Thomet" on the side, that is.

You certainly can't co-witness with it.

I'm not defending the price of the B&T mount, there are other mounts, like the one found on VZ58.net that offer similar height and a lot better price.....but....

There was some discussion on another thread regarding the heat transfer of co-witness type handguard mounts. Certainly, I've never seen any testing to show how the co-witness mounts stand up over time to the stresses of heat, but I know some of the other non-co-witness mounts have been thoroughly tested and do not transfer heat to optics to near the degree that a co witness mount would. Heat transfer may not be an issue for those who use five round mags and semi auto only, but full auto rifles and 30 round mags would certainly test any unit and it's ability to retain zero and not transfer exorbitant amounts of heat to an optic.

On the nea mounts heat transfer is a non issue, we have several sets that have had hundreds of rounds dumped through them in minutes and the heat was noticeably less then others on the market.
We expect to have reviews back from a special forces group out of eastern Europe in the coming weeks.

Took a look at that site, that have a lot of good stuff. Now how the hell do you understand the order form and currency exchange? Anybody?

When I checked it out a google toolbar popped up, offering to translate it. If that doesn't happen for you, try googling "google translate" and enter the URL there and see what happens. I also checked the exchange rate and it is about 1 dollar to 19 koruny.

My next purchase is likely a CZ 58 so I'm excited to find wood furniture to buy for it.

The above statement is very interesting. The NEA mount is smaller overall than other hand guard mounts right? Do you have some internal machining that increases the overall surface area, or is it lined with some heat retardant material, or is it made from different material than the others?
