Reg cert says Unknown Manufacture, can anyone help ID this little prohib. Fellow I got it from says the particular 38 ammo is no longer available for it. TIA for any info.

Any proof marks on the rear of the cylinder?
Looks too new to be Belgian, but perhaps Spanish. Seems like a S & W knockoff IMO

Belgian's tend to be older and more worn; but if the marking / caliber is right it could be an antique...doubles the value.
But in such nice shape I'd bet Spanish, they tend to be newer ' Knock-off's'
 
That mark appears to be JGA (Anschutz) as unlikely as that seems, are there any proof marks on the barrel? There are Webley copies marked this way with German proofs on them in an oddball 32 calibre. Some feel that Anschutz may have produced them during the depression to generate work and funds.
