Can someone help with Ontario online squad signup?

Ok, setup a new (hidden, test) match; create a few squads, and then when you go into the squad signup, the squad names/comments are links for you - if you click those, you'll get the popup which will allow you to add people in, manually, yourself... Go ahead and test it, feel free to use existing real account, it doesn't show up anywhere or affect those users. Also, if you click on the individual shooters within the squads, you'll have the option to move them to another squad, or remove them all together... Any detailed questions, just email me!

I have a question after playing with the program. After I join a squad am I then GTG just pay at the match? Or would I get contacted by the MD ?

I like the system, it works well.

However, my problem with it is that the match admin cannot add people to the squads himself. So, for example, if 8 people sign up online for a certain time, and then 5 people call in or mail their request for that time, you will have 13 people shooting. I find that you have to constantly check back and forth between the paper/electronic schedules.

If there was a way for the admin to add mail/phone registrations to the squadding lists himself, it would solve that problem IMO.

My suggestion is that the MD hold x number of slots available for those who choose snail mail, telephone or e-mail to submit thier requests. That way for example if there are 10 slots available per squad per time slot etc..the MD would submit "held fo MATCH DIRECTOR" in the slot 7-10... and release those say 4-5 days before the match back to the on-line users... This way the MAtch Director will always be able ( or at least have more opportunity) to accomodate those members who aren't so computer savy or just refuse to use that evil contraption.... make sense??

so that's my suggestion to the Match Directors that feel the online system may bypass those who don't use the on-line registration system or it's too hard to coordinate both the paper/e-mail/telphone requests with the on-line system...

I for one say this program Omen has put forth (although it may not be perfect for all) is well laid out and does the job it was designed to do.

Well done Omen.... :D
