Can someone walk me through the process?

Wondering if anyone could walk me through the process of the following:
1) Applying for my PAL/RPAL (I plan on doing them both at the same time)
2) Purchasing a non-restricted semi-auto rimfire rifle and a restricted semi-auto rimfire handgun
3) Filling out forms for both firearms

Also, if you can't get your ATT until you have your firearm, how are you supposed to transport it home for the first time?
Thanks

PS: I know this is probably already a topic but my search engine is bugged and no matter what I type into the search box... nothing comes up.
Sorry in advance as I'm sure this has already been asked.
Thanks

It's bee a long time, but IIRC, it goes something like this:

1) When you take your course, the instructor will have both sets of application papers... they are pretty self explanatory.
2) Fill them out, get your references to sign and spouse if required, and send them along with a copy of your test scores and the photographs, to the processing center.
2) wait... seems endless, esp for the RPAL
3) once your PAL/RPAL is received, go to the store of your choice with your cash/credit card. The store will call Miramichi and initiate the transferS while you're there. This will include the ATT to take your restricted home for the first time.

3.1) if you buy from an online retailer you do the same as in-store purchases, but just sit back & wait for it to come in the mail (they handle the ATT)...

when you purchase the gun the store will call in and work on getting you an ATT once verified then you can take it home, i have read in some places (correct me if i'm wrong) that this may in some instances take up to a week?
