A friend of mine recently purchased a new G34. He has found that his hands are too small to comfortably shoot without turning his hand on the grip.

He fired a G17 earlier this year and found that it fit his hand well and he could shoot it better than his Ruger. So he opted for the 34 because of the longer barrel for better accuracy for competitions.

Can the trigger be adjusted? Thanks

WTF?
The frames/grips are the same size.
The trigger on the G34 is 3.5LBS...on the G17 it is 5LBS. +
Someone might want to explain the situation to your buddy...
They usually hate it when you confuse them with the facts!

Yeah, i didn't think there was any difference between the 17 and 34 in the grip size but... can the trigger position be adjusted.

No, the trigger is not adjustable. However, there are some things that can be tried which are not too difficult, such as the "25 cent trigger job", or installation of other connectors or springs to give the right feel of trigger weight and feel. Or just shoot and dry fire the thing a bunch to work it in. And the frame is indeed identically sized.

Well technically yes, you can buy aftermarket trigger kit that will remove the trigger creep. but other than that...follow my instructions on the trigger job to get it not sucky.
