I added tons of weight. Well there is always room for more but it doesn't work the way I wanted. First off I loaded stock with resin and steel which helped a little bit. Then I loaded barrel with added weights and that improved accuracy a lot but with significant droop. And that droop changes with elevation of my shots - if I aim low or high point of impact drifts up dramatically. I guess there is no alternative to stiff heavy target barrel or maybe shroud ( that was my thought).

Taken away from them without compensation??? Holy crap man! If the owners of these .22 rifles had their restricted class, I absolutly do not understand this action.
I'm trying to think of what kind of government comes into innocent peoples homes and takes away something that they should be able to own and gives no compensation. Pretty much the attitude is give it up, or you can come with us kinda crap....
OH ya, I was thinking of free countries, that's why i couldn't come up with the type of government; communism? Dictatorship? A few anal retentive idiots and a few poeple from the M.A.D.D. organisation come together and decide that people can't own this because it's black and has those hole thingies on the end. Those kind of guns are dangerous :rolleyes:

You can get Henry AR-7's in Canada, and the steel stock and after market barrels are always available on flea-bay. I had to replace a warped barrel for my Armalite AR-7 and picked one up for $10. I've had mine for ever and it's a POS, I don't know why I keep it around, and even more why I keep shooting/repairing it. I looked into buying a couple spare mags (8rnd) for it bacause I only have one left, they wanted $28/each! It's kinda fun to shoot when it wants to cycle, but that isn't very often.. they're built like toasters. I'd use mine as an anchor if I didn't think it'd fail at that too..

I don't think there are "serious" autoloading rimfires, they are for fun. Serious rimfires IMO are bolt action and the like. Rimfires are largely regarded as "toys" in general.
 
Wow, i haven't checked this thread in a long while. Some really nice and original looking .22 plinkers out there. As far as the comment saying that these guns look like paintball guns and no one would take us serioulsy.... what the heck does that have to do with anything? If i want someone to take me seriously I have other peices of hardware to do the job. And besides, it would be unfortunate for anybosy to not take any of the gun ive seen here seriously. Getting pummeled by 10 or more .22's would not have the same effect as 10 or more paintballs.
