If I lived in Australia I'd likely use Woodleighs for all general purpose hunting and never look back.

Australia is a living economics lesson for people that think that the price of a bullet is the only indicator of its effectiveness. Double the price and they don't work any better. I've seen Hornady Interlocks selling for more than Woodleigh Weldcores; Norma factory ammo selling for less than Blue box Federal. Shrewd Aussies know which countries to source Schmidt and Bender scopes to keep the price in line.

Lots of it is duties, but there is an element of gouging involved. ADI is absolutely screwing you on gunpowder.

Man 100% on the gun powder ay!! i think the Shops are screwing us the most, because different online sources show varying prices even for 500g up to 4kg bottles.... an supply is hit and miss with most going OS!

i hear ya on the woodleigh, i guess We hear so much about other stuff an the sales Reps go off that american info to sell the shop the product to pass on the shooter, i certainly know many guys in gunshops who know fk all but will sell you This over That because of these reasons........ all of which come in the suppliers handbook. so yeah o canhear ya there.
