As soon as I got a (snotty as usual) message from him recently about low prices on Mossberg 500's at Wholesale sports, I PM'd him with a polite "thank you" and lowered my asking price.
Nester has in the past been rude and sarcastic, and I let it blow over me. I take what he says (no matter if his intent is just to put someone down), I respond as required and try to inject a civil tone into the "conversation".
I try to be very fair about my dealings and prices. Well over half my business is repeat business, which tells me it's working. I make no bones about the fact that if I sell a gun, there's a profit motive. Someone has to buy shoes for the grandkidsIf I buy at gun from you as a trade-in or whatever, I make sure you know that a $500 gun is only going to get you $425 - the rest is "shoe money"
If I buy a gun for $500, the intent is to re-sell at $588. Sounds perfectly reasonable to me and I make no apologies for my business methods whatsoever! I have taken guns back after many weeks if a buyer finally got to the range and found he just didn't like the feel of that particular gun. I didn't have to, my terms are "one week", but what's the harm, and we have a happy shooter now.
OK, back to Mr. Nester: What the hell do you mean calling me "retarded" in your post? And what are you doing with your hand and why is your face green?
I refuse to get down to your level - I'm too old and my knees can't take it - but you are now definitely off my Christmas Card list
