The RCMP has already considered that the Serbu Super Shorty shotguns are Restricted since there is FRTs entries already, they are not prohibited, whatever process Serbu use to manufacture their barrels is irrelevant.

Serbu is a manufacturer.

The classification of a firearm can change at any time if the firearm no longer meets the definition of that classification.

So ?

Yes for the time being the gun is restricted because it does meet the definition of a restricted firearms per RCMP interpretation, will it stay that way ? no idea, but with a Liberal Government any firearms may be prohibited in the near future, that won't stop me from buying it.

FYI - I was told by another vendor that if the barrels are cut down outside the country, then it doesn't matter. They're only prohibited if cut down in Canada. This would explain how the Super Shorty gained a restricted FRT...

If that's the case, it would certainly explain the situation if Serbu is using cut down barrels for the Canadian market.

I still think it would likely be easier for Wanstalls to get the Mossberg version.

Again, the way Serbu manufacture their barrel is irrelevant for classification since they are a manufacturer.

You won't see the one manufactured by Mossberg because of company policy.
