Can you help me get some details on my new SKS

The Tula made 1955/56 dont have the year stamped on cover, they have a small star on the left side of receiver so maybe the ones you have could have been refurb with later manufacture part or they are 1955/56 made and they should have laminated stock. but its just my guess.......

Someone told me that it could be an even earlier production than 1949, but I did not wanted to say it

I hope this works . Now I need a judjement.

I see that this 1950 dont have the refurb marking on the cover(a square with a diagonal line in) but the laminated stock is a replacement because a 1950 non refurb should have a artic birch stock. But ,beside stock change, blueing look original. The only refurb that sks have seem only a stock change or if haved full refurb, the russian didn't put the refurb mark on.

I think on this one there is sign on the stock . The one that you see was a gurd rifle. I do not think that it was ever shot before. Except 60 or 90 rounds, when they produced sks before they always shot testing rounds. So if someone says never been shot before is not true. Anyway it is a great rifle.

Another question for you guys. I have one with a green stock in my last shipment. Someone told me it is very rare. Is that true? and why is it rare. Yes I will got to my warehouse take pictures and post it, after the holiday.
