Can you help my find a kit rifle?

Me and at least one other guy are willing to try our hands at a blackpowder kit. He doesn't have a pal, so I'm willing to get a flinter instead of a PC rifle too. It might be fun. Can anyone help me source out a nice rifle kit? I've tried contacting Lyman via E-Mail as they offer the Great Plains rifle in kit form. Tradtitions makes a few, but not flintlocks. And I've heard TC as well, but can anyone think of any others to look at?

Wholesale Sports had Lyman Great Planes rifle kits. They didn't have them on the web site, but did have them in stock a few months back. Phone and ask.

Part of the equation is how much do you want to spend. Pecatonica River Rifle Co makes kits, amongst others. I would like to suggest that while almost any percussion gun will fire, you do not want to go cheap on the lock portion of a flintlock. Figure on a lock costing around $125 or so from a company like L&R who make quite a variety of models.

did the southern mountain rifle kit put out by track of the wolf. Excellent quality kit involves final fitting and finishing

$ is one thing...Skill is also a big consideration

I got a very nice trade flintlock musket in kit from North Star West...I just fired it for the first time today! 3 best shots were 1.5 inches at 25 meters...
Be advise that a kit may mean different level of effort and skill requirement...check it out before ordering...
