Can you ID this Thompson Center?

I consulted a couple of sites, but have met with few results. Apparently Thompson Centre lost many records of serial numbers in a fire. Can anyone help ID this rifle?

It's marked THOMPSON | CENTER ARMS
ROCHESTER, NEW HAMPSHIRE CAL50

Left upper of octagon barrel is numbered 270486

Looks like Hawken.

yup , a TC Hawken. Could be kit built or factory. There is no serial number on mine.
Excellent firearm.

High quality for a modest price. You can always get what you paid for it when you sell it.

The Serial number should be on the barrrel. How do you register it without a serial number?

Try removing the barrel. All you have to do is remove the ram rod then tap out the wedge that locks the barrel into the stock. The barrel will then swing up and out. This is known as a hooked breach. The serial number may be on the bottom of the barrel.
