Can you over anneal case head??

I time the annealing to about 2-3 seconds after the 750F tempilaq melts but cut it shorter if the neck starts glowing (in a dimly lit room).
I use two sacrificial cases to experiment, then I write it down.
The flame intensity is important too. I like to keep it low.

Same here!
I use annealing cups that I made calibre specific to try and keep the heat concentrated in just the area its needed and also do my annealing in a dark (ish) room. I dont use tempilaq but just look for the slight glowing of the case neck-if it goes to cherry red then its a scraper. I let mine cool naturally as I had varying results when I quenched a batch or two.
A little bit of practice on a couple of scrap cases pays dividends. MAP gas seems to work better than standard propane as well.

There sure are a million ways to skin this cat!!!

Question - given all the different methods, who's getting 5/10/15/20+ reloads out of their brass??

My guess is that we all are, despite some asserting that glowing brass is ruined, and some that tempilaq 450 isn't hot enough, etc etc....

I've used 2000 projectiles on the same 220 cases. I know I have 7-8 on 100 lapua 308 brass, rest on federal gold medal match brass. I've annealed once and will be annealing lapua again but the federal I think I should retire. Primers seat way too easy, no leaking yet though.
