Can you put a gen 4 glock spring on a gen 2 glock?

Has anyone tried it? It makes sense in my mind that it would work. Anyone have both Gen glocks and wanna try it out for me? Say in .40 Its an excuse to go shoot in the name of science!! I'm curious about the difference in recoil (faster target acquisition with less recoil = more rounds on target faster)

Can't be done. The Gen 4 slide has a bigger hole in the front of the slide where the end of the recoil spring seats. The Gen 1-3 it's a lot smaller. But, you can use a Gen 1-3 spring in a Gen 4 slide with the use of an adapter bushing.

Absolutely cant do it. My 34 has a captive stainless guide rod in lieu of the new gen 4 "not so good" recoil spring

Gen4 RSA needs a larger slide opening than previous gens.
