Can you shoot beavers with an AR-15?

Yeah some of the suggestions here are a little off!!!!!!!

Get a hold of a trapper and let him trap them. Best thing for everyone.

25-06 works. Find a hill, snipe the beavers, dig out the dam a bit, back up the hill, wait, shoot beaver, continue till no more beavers return to patch teh dam.

Problems is that beavers tend to be nocturnal but opening up a big enough hole in the dam gets their attention.

I should add, only do this where legal. If there is a trapper or your on a trap line you have to get the trapper to do this. If not other regulations may apply in your area.

Get a REM 7615P if you want to shoot beavers with a 223 and look cool....

Err, maybe a SL8 if you want to do it cool. If you want to use a pumpgun for beavers, use a shotgun.

Contact your local MNR before you open fire. if they are damaging your property, they're open fare...
I've done this in the past for a landowner of a trailer park, and I can tell you its certainly not illegal.
