Just curious if anyone still sells the norinco version of the M16 clone with the 1/12 twist and 20 inch barrel?

Are they super cheap or have any worth?

They used to be sold for about 650-750. I had one, and it was decent.

Given you can get the Norinco m4 for the same price, it's not a great bargain anymore. The furniture BLOWS but it's easy to change. The biggest negative is the fixed A1 upper. Really limits optic choices.

I disagree, the biggest negative is the metric threading of all the parts. It makes upgrading with new equipment (free float tubes or rails, buffer tubes, flash suppressors, etc.) next to impossible. You can however put a new upper on the lower as the pins line up just fine. Aside from the finish I have yet to hear a complaint from anyone about them.

The reason I ask is that a gun- clueless friend was recently willed the rifle in question. It is in mint condition and he will never fire it, so I figured I would get a little info on it. The 20 inch barrel with the 1/12 twist looked like it might be interesting, and the rifle really does have that retro M16 look and feel.
I'm sure there are still rifle purists out there with no desire to " tacticool" a gun up, so Prior to posting it on the E/E For him I would figure if it was even worth the trouble.
