Can you tell me anything about my CZ-75?

Fyi

look at the "born on date" that is located on the slide behind the ejection port and just above the extractor. There should be an oval w/ an inspector's stamp and a two digit number, say for instance, on my p01 it shows(06) meaning 2006.

Should be a year stamp on the right side above the extractor.

It's not a short rail 75, so not quite one of the originals, but its a pre-B, so it's close.

I have a factory blued 1981 pre-B here with no import markings. They are amazing firearms! factory grips were a black plastic. The Pre-B pistols have no firing pin safety and come stock with a short trigger reset disconnector.

Nice find. Not original grip though, looks like Pachmayr. Amazing stock trigger. Crisp and short reset. Just be careful of the dreaded Hammer Bite. I am still banging my head everytime I see a pre-B like this one as I missed a deal 8 yrs ago. Missed it by maybe 10 mins. It was right in front of me. Just not paying attention.

Here's what the original grips look like

And the date stamp is here

Nice pistol...and in great condition...it was however the only pistol I’ve owned that gave me ‘hammer bite’...after 100 rounds I was quite sore..dont think it was my grip..although I do like the beaver tail firmly in the web of my hand....but the length of the spur..have seen them bob tailed..but that’s just not right...

The CZ-75 was the inspiration for the Bren Ten of Colonel Jeff Cooper.
He said once that "Good king Wenceslas might have stood behind the designer of the CZ-75".

Thanks for sharing that info, did not know that.

Nice pistols, my first CZ's were Shadow 1's and they are beautiful!

They are beautiful indeed. I hope they will have options that will include the traditional bluing instead of the polycoat. They use to have the Satin Nickel finish and the 2-tone finish. BUt in the 2-tone, I believe, both are still polycoated.

Looks better with the Original Grip. You found a very nice pistol. MINT! How much did you pay for this one?

Yeah I quite like the original grips for their look. Most that have the original grips tend to be cracked or damaged :(

I'm not going to mention how much I paid for this handgun but it was above the regular selling price for a CZ 75 pre-B due to it's condition original factory blue finish and that it's in the first ones that came into Canada, it had lived in a safe for 37 years before I purchased it. It had only shot 100 rounds on one range visit when it was initially purchased in 1981.
