Canada Ammo deal on 7.62x54r

Well, the above prediction was WAY OFF...

The order was placed on Sunday nite, April 19 and I finally got an email from Canada Ammo yesterday (April 29) to say my order had been shipped.

That's 9 business days AFTER my order !!

And I have to "allow up to 24 hours for your shipment to show up in the shipping providers tracking system."

Was I just too much of an optimist or is Canada Ammo always this slow ??
 
Just cant win with Canadian buyers. For no reason, canada ammo throws up this sale. Bet you a dollar they were swarmed with orders. Orders they had to work through. How much did you pay for that shipping btw?

Next time dont buy during a sale and stuff will ship out much quicker.
 
That's why u never wait till your on your last case. That's why doesnt matter if it takes a day or a month. No one can touch there prices and free shipping to boot. Thanks Canada Ammo!

IMHO, the reason a company has a sale is to generate sales & revenue.

One "could" assume service will not suffer to badly since the company hopes the buyer will return to their store and buy further items, on sale or not.

I presumed my order would be a little slow in shipping but NINE days ???

I wasn't down to my last case... I ALWAYS keep a spare spam can in the back of the closet !!!

I agree, the price was awesome... and free shipping to boot. HOURRAH !!

Also, I'm really curious about that little knife I added to the order in order to cross the magical $200 threshold in order to get free shipping !!

Lets look at the actual numbers, You bought on the 19th. Sale started on the 18th. So at least 24hrs of people buying up stuff before you managed to place your order in. No problemo. Seeing as how Canada Ammo doesnt actually work on sunday, they had monday to start processing orders.

I, like you, received my order shipped email this morning. Unlike you, i will give a company that offers lowest priced ammo and firearms PLUS free shipping some leeway in processing time after what can be said to be a great sales event.

Just out of curiosity what would have been an acceptable processing time in your mind?

I don't know about your order, but I've got a mail Tuesday because they system didn't charge me the right amount. So I guess it has delayed shipping. And by the way, I've already order from there in the past and it wasn't the quickest but it was still pretty quick. Thanks CanAm

I got the same email.
it seems when adjusting the price someone forgot the gst when billing my card.
no big deal to me .

Price and service is great (but I wish they would fic the website for mobile users)

Hey, I got that email as well !!!

OK, I'll just take this as a "lesson learned" and will deal with them again should the need arise.

Whoa there buckaroo... no one said I wasn't giving them some leeway... I was. I was just wondering if 9 days to process was usual or not. Then I was reminded by someone on this thread about an email from CanAm about an error processing my payment so that obviously slowed things down a bit.

I've only ordered ammo online once before, from SFRC, as they sometimes have Chicom surplus 7.62x54r on sale so I didn't have any expectations... just questions.

They had that sale last weekend which likely pushed up their order volume. Along with the payment error it could just be taking time to clear a back log. Sometimes when asking questions on this forum things go sideways quick.

I placed mine on saturday the 18th got my ammo on Friday the 24th. I think if it took a month I'd be still happy because I made my order in my underwear and that was a special moment for me. We need more companies in this Country that let me buy stuff in my ginch. End of story :)
That kind of pricing, with the dollar in free fall ,when everybody else is cranking their prices deserves our gratitude.
