Canada Ammo deal on 7.62x54r

Like a fine wine Canada ammo will sell no ammo before its time. I am joking. My order was placed on the 18th and shipped the 24th. It is not like buying an item off of amazon where computers can process everything for order fulfillment. Canada Ammo has to verify the PAL for most of their orders.

Well, the ammo arrived this morning, May 4th, as well as the knife.

First off, I'm impressed with the knife... should have ordered a few more !!!

I'll crack open the ammo box during lunch and have a look inside. It says the ammo comes in 125-round packages. Curious to see what that looks like.

Pics to follow.

Ok,one metal strap and 12 nails later... the ammo box is open !!

Inside I found 2 silver colored spam cans, each containing 500 rounds

There were 2 packing slips and 1 ammo spec sheet inside, along with 2 "spam can" openers, like the kind you get to open a box of Klik... except beefier.

For some reason I can't open Photobucket right now so pictures will have to wait until I get home.

Cheers !!

Each spam can will have four paper wrapped 125 bundles of cartridges, at least that's the way mine were packed.
I like the 125 round packs. I can just grab a pack or two and go shooting.
Tracking says they attempted delivery today at 12:49 but I was still sleeping. No tag on the door either. Tracking says "by end of day"
Wonder if they'll try again later today cause Canpar usually comes here after 16:30

Yeah, I like the 125rd packs as well. I just dump one into a small pelican case and go, refill when needed.

I shot some of this today. I don't find it to be all that accurate but that's more than likely just me. I did eventually get it to run reliably on my SVT40 with the gass setting maxed out.

I'd still buy another case for $199 shipped though. That's the going price for .22LR these days. 7.62X54r is a lot more excitement for the same price. :)

I wonder what CA is buying this stuff for wholesale? Once you subtract shipping they're only charging $160 per 1000 rounds.

Thanks! Now I don't have to open one of my cases out of curiosity! I can shoot my other already opened, loose stuff first.
