Canada Ammo Mid July Customer Appreciation Sale

Anyone get a shipping notification yet? I haven't got mine yet and I ordered on the 17th.

I got a notification, said everything was shipped on the 27th. Get a delivery attempt notice from Canpar, and then go to pick it up two days later... Tiny little box with 2 mags in it. Then I notice that the case of .308 and ammo can have a different tracking number... Canpar has the tracking number in their system, but no record of ever having received/picked up the shipment.

Is the PMC .308 ammo delayed, or backordered, or something? I sent you guys (CanadaAmmo) an email asking this, with no response... Same "No tracking results available for this Barcode" from the Canpar website.

me too, get shipping notification on August 2nd, but still "No tracking results available for this Barcode" from the Canpar website.[/QUOTE]

Sent an email to Can amm today to confirm the tracking number.

LOL, welcome to canpar. I've never seen the tracking work correctly when shipping has been split. I'm not even sure how canpar themselves can figure it out, but usually the 2nd package arrives 1-2 days later.

I think the canpar system is probably broken completely. That's why service very much depends on the particular staff in your area. In the end, the driver has your address printed on the box, so he can deliver your package without any kind of tracking or codebar, but he has to be willing to.

I've only ever had one other thing shipped Canpar (A crate of 5.56 from Bullseye London), so this is news to me. Lol not sure if I feel any better about the situation now.

So uhh, where does this leave me? Haha will Canpar attempt delivery of the second shipment, or does it just get lost and sacrificed to the shipping gods?

As I said, I've always had them delivered, usually a day or 2 late. I wouldn't worry too much if they're only 1-2 days late, but if it doesn't turn up at your door after 3-4 days, then I'd surely call them. I've never been able to figure out how 2 packages can leave the same place at the same time for the same destination and not get there at the same time. To me it's a no brainer that they should stick toghether for the whole run, but who knows wtf they're doing.

On the upside, if it's a handgun, the chain of signature is required, and losing a restricted weapon is a big no-no, so I doubt they lose many of them. Probably very very few. For non-restricted firearms, it's almost like shipping anything else, but a signature is normally required, so they probably don't lose that many either.

Ammos are in theory a level 1 incendiary (that's why only canpar and UPS accept to ship them), but I don't think they ever treat them as such, although they should. Normally there should be a sticker on the package with a tiny flame and a "1" to identify it, but I've never seen it, whether it's UPS or CanPar. In any case, losing an incendiary device which is also a prohibited device to anyone who doesn't have a PAL isn't exactly a good industry practice for a company, and if you call them, explain them how it's a problem for them, cause someone is now in possession of something they're possibly not allowed to possess in the first place (someone with no PAL ends up with a case of ammos) and it's an incendiary device on top of it, so it should be treated as such. They'll go the extra mile to find your package; they won't really have a choice.

But overall, the service you'll get from canpar varies a lot depending on who you deal with. I don't think their tracking system is anywhere near as good as UPS, FedEx, or CanadaPost, so they rely on their people, so that's hit and miss.

Well, the second half of the shipment came in a couple of days ago. Wonder why Canpar has trouble with multiple tracking # shipments? The second half was never trackable on the website. No reply to my emails from Canada ammo, but all's well that ends well, I suppose.

We all know canada ammo delivers. Give the businesses some time.... I don't know them personally, but I noticed they are hiring a warehouse person to help them. They need help.

Fair enough. They were right on it to receive the EMT I sent them though. Priorities, I suppose.

I know it is frusterating to have the EMT accepted and then wait. Collecting an EMT takes seconds and payment needs to be complete before the order can advance to shipping, where the slow down is occuring. Thank you for your patience. We will be stopping large sales until we are able to handle the throughput.
