Canada Ammo or Marstar?

I have never bought from Canada Ammo (yet) but I have done a couple of orders with Marstar and was 100% satisfied with every aspect of my dealings with them.:D

i like canam, great products at good prices. I think they swamped themselves with the $99 pistols & are trying to catch up now. I have had great service previously. I deal with marstar as well, no probs

Have ordered from both...happy with communication and shipping in all cases. Marstar has the better warranty...function issues with the Nork Tok and the Dominion backpacker...but I'll try to work them out myself, given the price.

Marstar is good in my experience.

CanAm is very frequent poster here so you should be able to get in touch with them that way. He is still in business for a reason. Go with either.

...Marstar is in Ontario so I get charged PST.

That 8% is significant.

It is apparent that CanAm is having some problems at present.
Marstar has also had problems.

These bashing threads are getting a bit tedious. There are choices: if you can't be patient, take your business elsewhere. Whining on the 'net really doesn't accomplish anything.

I beg to differ these bashing threads as you call them are valuable . There are choices & CGN is a good place to find out who has good service and who may be having problems . Of course you can't read one thread about one CGN'r winning about a specific dealer & take that as fact . But when you see many different members from all across the country complaining you have to think twice . And I'm not referring to any specific dealer
It's not just about price . Good service brings return sales . Running a business is not easy . There are always unexpected delays & problems come up . How they deal with them is how they get a reputation good or bad .

Perhaps a whining forum should be created. The whiners could register for it, and whine in unison. Wail in harmony;)

Okay here is my two cents
I purchased from them m213 about a two weeks ago and made payment
I have emailed them few times on the update nothing
I have called few times and all I got is the dumb answering machine telling me the mail belonging to canadaammo is FULL please call back later. So no way of leaving a message
Finally I got a hold of them yesterday asking what is going on and related the guy on the other end said he has a large que for those guns to be processed so mine is probably somewhere in the pile. So I asked to be emailed when the thing gets processed. Today I check my email and said the order has been processed BUT it does not tell me if it has been shipped or a tracking number
Only reason I purchased from them its the 99.00 for a nine mill figure if anything I can just stick it in the gun vault

Bought from Marstar in the midst of the last M14 batch arrival (late November). I received my M14 right before Christmas. I was very happy. I ordered 1011 from CanadaAmmo on February 25. On March 2 I get confirmation that it is processed and I was charged the appropriate amount. This took only few days. I am not sure what "processed" means but if it means that since ordering and having the CFO approving the transfer it took only a few days, than the service is fantastic. I hope my order is in transit now. So far Mark is ok responding to my emails. Doesn't happen right away but this is understandable.

Bought an all blued enhanced Norc 1911A1 from Can-Am. Turn around time was good. Kept me updated on progress via email. In all a positive experience. Will deal with them again.

Haven't bought anything from Marstar yet. Only because stuff I was looking for is "sold out" or I bought same used/excellent on the EE here first. Still waiting for the slow boat with the Norc 1911A1 9mm NP-29's to arrive though.... ;)

What was your turn around time? 1 week? 2 weeks? 3 months? Just curious because I am very impatient and check my mailbox every afternoon with a pounding heart looking for that CP parcel pickup slip. This is my first handgun that is why I am so excited. But if I have to wait 3 months, then I am going to cancel it. I will get a heart attack in 3 months and I don't want to risk it.
