When deals do occur there often best on large volumes of ammo or those guns you already have. Save up and watch for a sale if when they do occur and load up on ammo. Remember retailers are in the business of making money having big discount sales too often are a sign a business is going under or meeting their credit obligations. I'm not sure about firearms but in the paintball industry markups are about 20 to 30% retail which isn't a lot of wiggle room. Competitive consistent pricing is my preference then daily/semi annual sales. Of course I like to save money but really $5 to $20 on something really won't make or break my decision to buy a gun or not.
