I'm not a fan of this show but from time to time I'll turn it on, just to see where and what their doing and I've noticed that Thomas Pegion doesn't seem to hunt in Canada anymore, it's always someone else. And last week I saw that he himself was hunting in Finland. I'm just curious of anyone heard anything about them getting into any hot water over anything and maybe he's not allowed to hunt anymore? Or maybe I'm just seeing the wrong episodes.

I was never all that impressed with that show either, whenever I see it and maybe this is just a timing thing since its not all that often but it seems they are always in Southern Ontario ?.......I did like the Episode a while back when they were hunting caribou in NWT.

You should see the one where he flips on a guy for shooting his rifle with a muzzlebrake attached. He got pissy during the filming, and then at the end of the show explained how no hunter should ever use a muzzlebrake and how irresponsible they were. I think he was just pissed because the rifle's report made him flinch and miss! :D

I'm not a huge fan of hunting TV shows, but when CITR first appeared it was a pleasant surprise, a nice change compared to the ridiculous Hi-y'all-my-name-is-Bubba-and-me-and-BillyBob-done-gone-huntin' type crap that typified a lot of the American shows. Today it's still better, IMHO, than most of the other shows on WildTV. I like Pigeon's sign-off, when he tells the viewer to be proud to be a hunter.

Haven't watched the show since the wind shot episode when he said it was to windy for the shot but took one anyway. I don't think hes supporting the sport when things like that happen. Just my 2 cents
Cheers

I don't know about anybody else, but I for one would like to see a show where a crew comes up to the big woods (say in Sudbury, Ontario for example...lol) and hunt crown land like the rest of us folks who don't own private property. I'm so sick of seeing shows where the guys sit on the edge of farmland (private property) and pick and choose what size of deer they want to shoot. Most of us don't encounter that. Just pick a spot, do a little scouting, and film a show and let's see their results.

If you really want to enjoy CITR and find it to be one of the most professionally produced hunting shows......watch John Hunt on Hunt TV before watching CITR!!

For me, I enjoy the show, more so since the Beasely boys have joined in. Really enjoyed the episode where muzzle brake boy was "responsible" for Pigeons miss!

Thomas sold the show to the Beasleys on the proviso that he would stay around and co-host for three years. He's encountered some personal problems and opted out for the third season. Next year's shows will be wall to wall Beasley. There have been no problems relating to hunting ethics or laws just personal stuff.
