Had a Marlin 336C in .35 Remington that I sold to my nephew a few years ago.

Hear that they are quite rare.

I preferred the .35 Remington over the .30-30 Win. because of the bigger bullets (200 grain) in brush.

I used to hand load 158 grain SWC handgun bullets into .35 Remington cases with a few grains of Hercules "Red Dot" behind them to "cap" ruffed grouse for the pot at the hunt camp with that rifle.

Had to sell off some of my arsenal when I moved to a smaller place in the city & the little .35 got downsized.

The nephew has shot deer with it since.

At least its still in the family.
 
Yeah, I'd love to add a .35 rem to the safe. I can already see this is going to be a horrible lever addiction. I'd like to pick up a norc 1911 then I'll have my eyes peeled for a 1895G.

I just got my license about a month ago and being laid off doesn't help. lol

So far I picked up a 12 gauge pump combo, the 336, and hopefully a 1911 in 9mm.. Then I'll be done for a bit untill I'm at least back working and have cash coming in.
 
It came up on the EE. I had been watching and waiting I'd had just about given up and was ready to buy a new one. Jumped on the EE before heading down to WSS and there she was, hadn't even been on for more than a few minutes!
 
That is sweet. I can't find anyone who doesn't like his Marlin. I have 4 guns listed in the EE. When the first bag of cash arrives, I'm getting an 1895 45-70 that's in the EE and not 15 miles from here.
 
Quite honestly being a younger shooter I never thought I'd have any interest in a lever. I always figured I'd want a bolt action although after hearing about the 30-30 and how it was great for new hunters I started looking at the marlins. While walking through WSS I happened to see a used one on the rack and it was love at first sight. I can see many more of them finding their way into the safe. However I'm going to have to do something with the sight set up that gold dot just isn't going to cut it, I can hardly focus on it and I'm only 21. lol

Currently looking at the williams fp and the williams wgrs with a fire sight and really not sure which one to choose.
