Canada Post Love-Hate and All Things "Shipping" Thread

I just got a set of very nice highway pegs direct from China. From eBay's "commit" button to my front door was just over a week! Not bad.

Yeah, this amazes me. Recently received a replacement LCD screen for $35 total (including shipping) from Beijing in under 2 weeks.

I hate you Canada Post! Was supposed to delivery my Weather Vanguard S2 today in time for my birthday this weekend...did not show up :(

I had a $7,000.00 .50cal rifle go missing in transit.

Didn't show up on the date, and a week later with no sign, I launched a missing package report.

After 4 weeks of Canada Post screwing me around and giving me excuses and lies, and me mentioning after about the two week point that it was a firearm in question, and I would need it to be found soon, and me pulling my hair out the whole time, I finally lost it.

I talked to the manager of the manager, and threatened to call the RCMP because they lost a Semi-automatic .50BMG rifle that was fully insured, and that they would be held responsible for the loss and paperwork.

The rifle arrived 3 days after that call.

Moral of the story? I don't ship items over a thousand bucks via Canada Post anymore unless the buyer specifies.

Sounds like my girlfriend getting me to check the mail . An 1 hr before we had to leave on a cruise for her bikini. Tracking showed it was suppose to be delivered Monday and wasn't until Wednesday.

A CGN'er mailed a hunting seat to me from NB on 10 Feb and it tracked to Mississauga on 12 Feb with an estimated ETA of 17 Feb to eastern Ontario. So far so good.... The next track shows it in Richmond BC on 17 Feb and still shows it there with a new planned delivery date of 24 Feb.
I'm going to need this seat for the fall deer hunt so guess I'll just wait and see if it shows up in time.....

I received a rifle a day early from Canada Post this week. I was giddy as a school girl! Based on this thread I was thinking" what a bunch of CGN whiners, grow up!" The rifle was very well packaged by the seller( Better than Tradex and they do a pretty good job of it) It was in a soft gun sleeve, wrapped in large bubble wrap and snugly placed in a very sturdy cardboard box. Then I noticed a crease in the box....... Lined up perfectly where the stock was broken at the wrist! All I could do was laugh, my wife asked what was so funny so I walked in the kitchen with my new to me rifle in 2 pcs. Fortunately the rifle was insured and the seller is a great guy to deal with and everything has worked out! I can now be a CGN CP hating whiners too!

What the hell are they doing in the Newmarket post office??? I have a new toy en route that is supposed to be delivered tomorrow. It was mailed on the 20th, and it just showed up as processed in Mississauga, today, at 2:30pm on the 25th! If it took that long to travel within the GTA, I'm supposed to believe it will make the 5 hour drive to me in one day??...AAAARRRGGHH!!!

ETA: Okay, forget about Tomorrow. The frigging corksoakers have changed the tracking info. Now it won't arrive until, the middle of next frigging week because it arrived at the post office late on Friday. ARE YOU KIDDING ME?! It was left in Newmarket until this afternoon! They should have sent it out from Newmarket on Monday morning, not Wednesday afternoon! And we pay plenty of coin for this outstanding service!

Fortunately, I am a usually somewhat patient man!...sometimes...!

2nd Edit: Well, I'll be a monkey's uncle! Apparently the rest of the operation is more efficient than Newmarket...according to the tracking website, my new precious is out for delivery....waiter, humble pie please!
