Canada Post Strike Shipping/BACK to NORMAL

It's rotating strikes now and Canada Post is in a lockout position.

How can you say its normal ?

Dropping a piece of mail into this unstable situation is an absolute crazy gamble.

Let's see how well existing items in the sortation facilities get delivered.
Corwin Arms is back to normal, taking orders, shipping orders. This is a thread for the business Corwin Arms, which is back to normal. I dont think Martin is on Strike

Don’t worry though. All the morons will be here saying we don’t need Canada post and to sell them off.

But they are too stupid to realize without Canada post our hobby is dead faster than the OICs. If no hobbiest can ship guns they sell or have guns they buy shipped. It’s over.

Wish more people were actually educated before they spout off their internet BS.
I believe most would say the morons are the ones supporting a dead crown corporation that looses 10 million a day, no? You need to lay off the THC and give your head a shake bro! Trudy got ya all foggy!

You might have to go out and buy locally! Tax payers don’t need this kind of waste. Cut the bleed and let Canada post die and watch the private market pick up the slack. When there is opportunity, there is profit to be made.

You think our industry is only alive because of a defunct government entity which is CP?

I can’t imagine defending a company loosing thus kind of money? All to fill your box with junk mail….

I feel fortunate I’m not a business partner with you!

What a mindset!……………Please tell me you don't work there? lol

First of all I used the term uneducated in response to the initial post which you failed to read. Second of all you are obviously unaware that Germany, England and Japan have privatized postal services and if you have ever used them you would realize how good they are, Deutsche Post is amazing. Im sorry but any government service requiring a billion taxpayer dollars a year to function needs a drastic overall at the very least. Another CBC supporter posting on here..
When you can ship something from Greenville South Carolina to Alberta for a third the price you can send something to Manitoba to Alberta. We got a problem…

The fact is, electronic mail is the new way. The new mailbox is your email… If you need Canada post, that is a Ish”you” (issue)..

I’d like to see them walk in the snow for strike pay till CP flops. It’s time to break these unions….They will continue to make less staying with CP, as often as they strike they will have to get a 10$ an hour raise, then work for the next two years just to make up for what they lost by striking. Not very smart I would say. But hey, they want us to put tires on their cars…….🤣 they work so hard, they provide a “service”……..just like every one else!!!

Electronically ship your rifle as a private citizen , would also be great to print off a new passport but I don't see that happening. They still have a use

Good one!!!!!!
Not worth a billion dollars a year they don’t.

If you as a Canadian tax payer are that frugal with that kind of money, and you defend that kind of business model because; you renew your passport once every ten years or so….. or buy a rifle once in a while, then that’s why we have a government like we do and I have something to sell you! Lmao.

I don’t get you guys. If Canada post was shut down today “freeing up our money” There would be a better system tomorrow. “It could not cost tax payers a dime”. look at Amazon…That’s what they are competing with…..

The only time I check my mailbox is when I know I have something coming that day… The rest of my stuff shows up on my doorstep, just like the good old days when these CP employees used to work!

Have bought more firearms than " once in a while" Enjoy supporting local shops although they do not always carry the type/model/caliber of item I am after. Why not allow ALL carriers to transport firearms for individuals ? Then every ten years I could drive to Victoria and apply for my passport in person , make another trip later to pick it up.

....dropping customers packages in a system being undermined by current rotating strikes, possible full walkout or lockout is somthing customers should think about

Hey, that’s great!! I agree with you that all carriers should be able to ship firearms as well as legal documents…..wouldn’t that be nice!

It's a service, not a business. The army doesn't make us money, neither do libraries. It's not intended to be a money making venture, it's a service for citizens. Judging from your post, you really shouldn't be so quick to cast the "uneducated" stone. Privatization is the race to the bottom at the cost of the consumer. Not one single public entity that moved private that I can think of, yielded the results that the clowns who screamed the loudest for it lauded it would.
Ahhh... the primal scream of the socialist. Privatization is the reprieve for the taxpayer; in this case the taxpayer no longer wants to fund the bloated beaucratic wasteland of Canada Post, regardless of the perceived "service" it's mandated to deliver. Much like the CBC, the current version of Canada Post is no longer sustainable and the 'service' it provides in most areas of the country, is at best, suspect. There are many countries around the world that have privatized their national mail carrier; it would appear that your post is the only thing here that is in a race to the bottom.

UPS delivers directly to my rural property, while the nearest post office is 40 minutes away, and is manned by a grumpy old guy who may or may not give me my package with the emailed electronic scannable delivery notification.

I find it confounding that UPS delivers out here… it hardly seems worth their while. They’re super good tho.
