I lot of people are down on Canada Post but I kind of like them. Today my Mail lady brought me these...a whole day earlier than expected. Whats not to like? :d

Nice.

I'd like to find one of the remakes of the 1917 - the Model 22 Classic that was put out several years ago. No idea how many of them are around, though.

Canada Post is the only way to bring in items from the US without having to pay all kinds of "brokerage fees", etc., that double the cost of your initial order.

Whenever I place an order with a US company, I always ask them to ship via US Post/Canada Post.

I agree. Also, mailing from the states with USPS/Canada Post stuff under a certain value ($50...$75?) always seems to come in without any HST being charged. Fedex or UPS fill in the full commercial import papers and you pay tax, any applicable duties and their brokerage fees.

Canada Post usually meets or beats their delivery ETA's and on the rare occasion they're a day late.
With FedEx, I had to drive 150 Km (each way) to pickup a package they had in their possession for three days!
And I'm expected to pay for that kind of service? I go with Canada Post whenever possible.

Canada Post in a landslide. I have not had mail to the door since 1987 ( various moves into new housing developments) and don;t miss it at all. Up here we get mail three days a week, the other two are for local flyers and junk mail. Nobody writes letters anymore so why not continue to improve their five day a week package delivery system and drop regular mail service down to three days a week. Package delivery is where the money is and Canada Post does a great job doing it from my experience.

Bob you need to move out to the sticks! We get prompt mail delivery every day out here! Probably because most of the Terrace CP staff lives rural - we don't cotton to y'all "urban" types. :) Change your address to read "Thornhill" or "Jackpine" or "Lakelse Lake" and I bet you get it on time. LOL

Yup the truck goes around here just like it doe in Jackoine...empty two days a week. Kinda like the BC Transit buses only they di it seven days a week. Monday and Tuesday there is nothing from the "outside" due to the time it takes for the truck to get here from Pr. George but there you have it.

Lots of hate on CP but they are the most reliable of the bunch, in my experience. Try any 'courier` across the border and watch the money fly out of your pocket.

Why can't they just drop my package at the door, I just received an email stating that there was no response and a card was left telling me where I can pick up.
What an inconvenience, I bet the post office will be closed by the time I get there as well.

Yes and if some street urchin picks it up and walks away with it...what then?

Maybe there is a clue there as to why they don't just leave it on your door step.
