Have sold 10 or 12 or more firearms over the last few years not once has the contractor at Pharma-Save or Crappy Tire has asked me the question you elude to....
You asked and I answered your question and that has been my experience since being a member here since 2010ish.

I choose to ship cheapest way, which is Expresspost with my discount card.
I go in person to have the postal "worker" handle the transaction, as I don't want to be bothered trying to enroll in the "snap ship" crap.
Have never been asked what is in the package, and if I was I would either lie and say golf clubs or simply say none of your business. However the mood strikes.

Unfortunately it is against the rules to ship a gun via express post as in certain situations Expresspost packages travel by air which is a big old no no for guns.

Also enrolling and using snap ship is a Canada Post requirement for people shipping guns.

Its easy to setup and use snap ship. Also what you pay for express post, you pay pretty much for expedited with snapship, which is a higher level of service.

Strange hill to die on, for some non-existant principles.

The Canada post policies are actually enforceable by law and carry penalties.

Actually express post is much more expensive. Regular, expedited ,express, in order of how costly
