You made several good points. I generally agree with your take on the situation. I also noticed a couple of days that Can-Am (mod) removed that refund discussion pretty quickly. Im not a big fan of that! If you are going to keep a post that says Can-am is the best. Perhaps it should also suggested that negative comments have their place on this forum as well. Most business want to hear negative comments so that they can improve thir business . I suggest it is better to hear a concern than to lose a customer.I've read this thread thus far in silence and with interest, as like most of us...I too have a T97 on order. Yup; I wish I could have it now as well but "c'est la vie" and the folks that are holding them are none-too-interested in communicating with CanAm. That is poor business practice on the part of the Government.
That being said, I believe that those who wish to complain or articulate why they feel the service is/has been poor should be able to do so. I suppose everyone is entitled to their opinion. I would certainly hope so.
It would seem that those who sing the praises of CanAm and this situation have a cheering section. Those who are brave enough to state their case and express their feelings as to why they are unhappy are subsequently "run out of town" via pitchfork and posse. When will we be setting up the "dipping tanks" to see if they drown?
It would seem that only praise is allowed here and not criticism. Should we have a thread designated "praise only"? Sadly, a couple of nights ago, Hunterhenderson started a "refunds from CanAm" thread and minutes later, it had disappeared. Sigh...
My position is that what is happening is beyond the control of us (the consumers) and CanAm (the poor guy that is in the middle, the place where you get hit by the most stones). I harbor no ill will and hope my T97 arrives soon.
But, I also harbor no ill will or frustration at those who feel they've been treated less than adequately and want to articulate their case on here. I read all the posts with interest and an open mind.
Will they change my opinion? Unlikely...but their opinions are as entitled as mine and I'm glad to read them all.
In the meantime, we go and fire our other firearms and wait for "Christmas in the spring".
If you do not get what you want, you can walk into a local courtroom and sue them in contract for the amount you desire (typically a small claims court). That would likely cost 20$ or so in most provinces.
I have dealt with Can Am a number of times.
Some may still remember the group buy done to get the mag loaders for the Ruger pistols. This is something that he now carries as well.
Am I wanting to get my hands on the type 97 I paid for. Yes Yes I do. Am I mad at Can Am that two third party's have delayed shipping of them. No not I am not.
It is outside of his control.

Bingo. It's out of canam's hands. You unhappy guys are all entitled to your opinions, but at least direct your anger at the right place, cbsa and RCMP.
There could be some potential territorial issues in regards to jurisdiction.

If I were canam, I would refund you guys, then tell you F off when the guns get here and not sell you one, but then again that's why I don't run a business or work with customers

Guy seriously... please start your own post that's professional and courteous, with a title something to the effect of "Canada Ammo - Customer Service Complaints". You'll probably find others like yourself who have issues and want to talk about it. mr.smitty started this thread to indicate how positive his dealings were with CanadaAmmo...others like myself, did the same...
