Since many are currently scrambling to grab semis due to the unfortunate political climate in Canada, I figured this would be a interesting/helpful topic.

Post which 180 you have/used to have and what your round count is. What issues have you had and at what round count?

Crusader Arms Crusader 9 Sentinel 5.56mm upper (purchased as part of the Dual Caliber Combo offered by Crusader Arms).

700 rounds of 5.56mm/.223 Rem as of May 20, 2023
ammunition brands fired: PMC Bronze 55gr, PMC X-Tac 55gr, Federal American Eagle 55gr, Hornady Frontier 55gr, Sellier & Bellot 55gr, Winchester “White Box” 55gr
magazines tested: Magpul PMAG Gen 3, Hera Arms H3, Cross Industries 10/10 Cross Mag Coupling AR-Pistol, CPD LAR-15 10, Generic "STANAG" metal

Issue arose with bolt catch release lever at the 400 round and 600 round marks - small e-clip which secures bolt catch came lose and allowed catch to fall off. Repaired easily by reseating e-clip. Used loctite on e-clip after second issue.
Otherwise, no stoppages at all. No problems with any combinations of magazines or ammunition brands.

I've got a WS-MCR Gen 2 in 7.62x39. I've fed it at least 2000 rounds of surplus ammo and it looked like it had several hundred more through it before I got it. Call it +/-3000 rounds of ####ty surplus ammo. Ironically I'm getting easily repeatable 2.5 MOA or better, 5 round groups with Chinese copper wash. I clean it after each session and keep an eye on the gas valve set screws. I don't have any real proof, but I think the two piece piston rod on the 7.62 version is more reliable than the one piece rod on the 5.56 version. Mine is perfectly straight.
I've done a few mods like the TNA bolt hold open, a Hyperfire Trigger, and a Wolff extra power hammer spring. I've also put in the WK180 adjustable gas plug. Not that it needed it, but really an attempt to dial back the gas to the bare minimum required.
I know people really hate on these things, but with some basic care and feeding, mine has been great. Goes bang, ejects, chambers, repeat.

I've trashed the Canadian 180s for a long time but I was pleasantly surprised when I saw the 2 piece 7.62 piston in the CFET slide deck. Not sure why that design improvement hasn't been rolled out to the 5.56 versions.
