Just picked up two "Tins" that were opened but contents appear untouched ..
Tins are brown with cardboard squares securing the contents and state on the outside :

132 CTDGES.S.A.A.
.303 BALL
Mk.7.CTN
DA 6 / 7/ 45
LOT 73 (2nd tin is Lot 78A)
DO NOT PUT FOOD IN THIS CAN

the cardboard boxes inside say:
33
Cartridges
.303 INCH
Mk7
C.G. Canada

appear to be 4 boxes in each tin - boxes are unopened

What can be told from this?

thanks

Canadian-made ball MkVII ammo, made in the middle of 1945. I believe it should be non-corrosive ammo.

Oooops! One too many I's!

Thanks ... was left over from a target shooter who passed on a number of years ago. Should it be shot or saved as is?

Saved it is ... I'll inform my son where I have stored it and to resurrect it when he is 40.....

If he's like me when he's 40 ... it will still be saved for another 25 (or 40)years! ... :)

Thanks

(This "saving stuff" must be hereditary and a male thing ... my father kept everything and now I have placed some of his old Canadian infantry - RCR - uniforms from Sicily/Italy in a museum in Sicily ...my daughter OTOH is ruthless when she cleans out her bedroom and in fact happily gives some of her brothers things away as well!! .... women aren't as sentimental despite the romantic view to the contrary!)
