Canadian 375 barrels

Bits of Pieces lists .375 barrels.
I think Bevan King also makes .375 barrels as well.

Ron Smith of Wimborne, Alberta makes .375 barrels. I ordered one from him last week. The last .375 blank from him was rifled 1/14 twist for a .375 H&H Mag. This one will have gain twist for a 38/55 black powder rifle. Delivery promised for early 2007. Total cost $318.
His phone number (403)631-2405.

I am exploring several options in 375, one being the 375 Ruger.:)

I have yet to see brass, or hear of a Canadian wiht a reamer yet, so I am waiting. We will see. Other options include the 375/338, 375 AI and 375 Weatherby...

I bet the reamer would be aways off. One might find a Smithy who would go halfers on the reamer with you since he may not sell so many barrels inthe future chambered so, hard to say.
Those Heym(?) barrels Bits of Pieces had sure look like a good deal.
Ron Smith built my 338-06 barrel for me and did a great job, I highly recommend him too!

I know reamers are available, and I am not adverse to buying one, as I know I could sell it afterwards, since all the cool kids will want a 375 Ruger.

Biggest hang up right now is brass. If I cna get 100 cases, I should be set for life. If I can't, then....

I am in no rush, though:wave:

Rob McLennan is who I was talking to a month or so ago w/regards to the 375 tubes we chatted about.

He taught Ted Gaillard...so I imagine he has it down to a science.

Standard length is 28", and he uses Shilen's contour specs.

That is where my $ would go!

Go with the weatherby. That's what I am building. If it really comes down to a pinch, just use H+H cartridges out in the field. (Brass will also be easier to find)
Plus, maybe we can get a deal with a reamer, or share it later.:D
