Hello all,

I was recently trying to register over there and was told that my IP was banned "Cogeco" very odd so I tried my cell phone with no wifi using a "Rogers" IP and was told the same thing... Anyone able to put me in contact with the forum admin ?

Do you use a VPN? Some sites (including this one) have problems with VPNs, and will just not let you even use the site if you have one running
 
There are no admin here for that site.

Nor are the mods would fix anything. You're coming up as banned, that's all they care about. The mods there censored talks on C21 as he hated replica airguns. That site is no good.

Those are curious remarks. It seems rather categorical and final to claim that CAF is "no good".

In most places, few firearms-related forums will have a free-for-all, anything goes moderation policy and may reserve the right to "tread carefully" with opinions related to politics. CAF itself has rules expressly prohibiting "political" posts, among others.

When the government going after your airguns, the no political posts go out the window.

Well I told them many years ago they better lobby up with gun organizations to protect what we got. Got banned for that, look what happened...Airguns came under fire with C21. Then when you got mods censoring members to try and hide it, and then voicing their opinions on hating replicas and supporting the Police choice. Then when it's too late, go full 360 as the replica also includes ALL sub 500 fps airguns.

Never once did they go, we don't condone the use of airguns for crimes. They rather, head in the sand and then wonder why they rolled over laws effecting it.

When you prove them wrong for posting false info, you get banned.

I tried to do a fund raiser where I sold my airguns and all the several hundred dollars went to ALS for a past member. I was the only one. So did anyone actually care about a long time member.

Its a yes man club. Canadian Airgun Fudds.

Personally when you got moderators voicing their hatred on replicas, saying there no need for them, abd just proving with articles of airguns being used. Tossing alot of people under the bus. That's when should step down. Barely anyone uses it, alot of the old members don't use it anymore and I'm not the only one that think the site went to ####.
 
I joined that site a few months ago, not impressed. It's pretty dead. I was looking for info on a PCP rifle I have purchased and was wanting info on electric air pumps, not much help at all.

While there may be many who agree with your view, the CAF rules are what they are and won't be changed by complaining here.

Ten years ago, the prohibition on no political posts on CAF was scrupulously upheld, but with the changes in firearms laws in recent years CAF moderators have been much less attentive to their own rules.
 
Wow, thanks for all the replies, I ended up getting on it and yeah it seems dead.. Used a vpn to get registered..

I have no use for that site, doubt any changes will be made to the old man club, short of new mods. But I can let people know how the mods tossed airgun owners under the bus. Then try and be like it's a airgun community for all.

Noticed everybody moving to posting to Gateways to airguns. As CAF is dead and only the mods are to blame for it.
 
I was competing archery FITA and Field for over 18 years, I found the US forums were more open minded easier to socialize. The club level members were great but ones you start raising your view, naaah, too much trouble. Many of us competition shooters were travelling to US chasing tournaments 80% of time, and there are the money shots as well.
Since 2018 I am into airguns, same sheisse happening. Including this same CGN.
In my gun club I am the only one shooting airguns, out of 600 members maybe...and no hope me to bring in some ideas "from the side". Not going into details, but,
I guess something is wrong with Nord side of the border.
Building now one Match rifle, I want to test if these PB people are any value shooters at all, or just pure politics.

Pretty cocky eh. You don't shoot PB, you never shot 308, you probably dont even know your twist rate to what bullets to run, your not gonna reload, you cannot even figure the scope mount, you are going to take a scope off your airgun as you only be doing this a couple times a year and your gonna test these people. Welcome to recoil. Stick to airguns we don't want you. No wonder nobody is helping you with your project as you are arrogant.

You are going to need these people to help you succeed. But if you want to insult them and be cocky, you're gonna get what you expect back.

What you want to say? Because I didn't shoot PB before (going back to eearly 80's), I don't know how to shoot? Or that you are sooo good shooter big and proud you take a liberty to sheisse on everything I say or ask?
What is your average amount of shots per year? no matter PB or airgun... just a number that you scored a card?
Oh Man you lucky separated by distance otherwise it would cost you a case of beer every time we seat side by side at the bench ;)

Edit:
I have currently about 65 bullets ready to sight in four distances, and a friend promised he will be supplying me the reloads in batches as I would need. I would never buy my own reloading equipment, for that money I can get a PRS rig.
But I am sittin on 6-7K pellets in .22 and .25, and I know I will have to buy at least that much to close the season. Pellets perfect for training and practice, a tin cost as one hamburger.

You're cocky. Everyone of your posts you have the answer for your own question. Notice nobody is helping you. Why is that? Care to explain? Or is your head soo far up your ass?

Unlike you I don't compare airguns and firearms so I could care less about how many pellets you shoot. You shoot with a gun in a rest so you put no input other than pulling the trigger, wow impressive. You ever wonder why the club not working with you for airguns? You talk like you are better than them.

I'm glad I'm not by you, as I wouldn't be able to put up with your arrogance.

Well I shot good enough to win 1st place on a Easter Sunday Ham shoot.
 
I have nothing against shooting of any sort of firearm, whether powder or air, but I do have an issue with excessive censorship, especially when the root IS 100% political and CAF must stand for Censored As F**k. No wonder we firearms owners can't get traction. We can't even even get along well enough to present a unified front within ourselves.
 
Lol I was a member there until yesterday.

Saw a forum post in the cafe section about links to petitions
to Ban Trump coming into Canada because he is a criminal with another link to a petition to revoke Musk's citizenship because he is a bad man.
That sat there for a couple days, few other political posts around.
So I made the mistake of posting a link to Runkle of the baily's video about the new Red Flag laws.

Here is what I wrote;

I normally try to ignore politics... But it seems lately the Liberals are just... loosing touch on reality.

Lol so we've been hearing about the "Red flag Laws" ,
well when this Lawyer explains how it works...

and how it can be abused...

And some of his experiences with clients...

Holy crap.

And to add to it, The liberals also snuck funding into special interest groups to promote the red flag laws and the Liberals...4.8 mil.
And this is all kicking in for election time...

This guy is scared, and he is a Lawyer...


So a person who does not like you can file a statement in court, with no proof.
Saying they think you should not own firearms, or are a danger.
It does not necessarily have to be investigated before the court order is given.
And no one will be there to investigate or argue on your behalf.

You will then have an armed presence at your house demanding your firearms.
And Police won't know exactly why they are there except "suspected bad guy with gun" ,
could be a crack house for all they know and they may act accordingly.
Then at best, you and your family sit on the couch in handcuffs while they search your house (and they will not be neat doing it).
Once the police leave, you get to clean up and the burden of proof is on you.
So we are guilty until proven innocent... but criminals are...

Please people, remember, Under Canadian Law, replicas, air guns, airsoft are all firearms when a concern has been raised.

Do not argue with the police if they come to your door.
Getting upset will only make things much worse.
Sudden actions can get someone killed in these situations.
They have a job to do, and just want to go home.
Getting rightfully pissed off, will only be documented as justification to keep your "firearms" and "weapons".
Politely ask if you can have a receipt for articles taken and ESPECIALLY a case #.

What can you do to protect yourself...

never get anyone upset or hold a grudge against you.

(giving up your guns is not good as police won't know that for sure until they tossed your house)

contact your Liberal MP and MPP and let then know they are not working to Canadian values and are compromising people's freedom.

Keep a Lawyer's # handy.

Vote for anybody ELSE than Liberal Or NDP _at least just this once_.
These People need a wake up call to start listening and working with facts not fanatics.

maybe I deserved the "political diarrhoea" comment because I talked politics in my post.

So go and edit out all the bold part. No politics now.

As I'm answering another message and hit reply... all of a sudden I'm logged out... Huh.

Try to log in and just have the message my username has been permanently banned!

No moderator messages ever, never any warning or hints, used the administrator contact button to ask why I was banned,
but so far no reply.

Lol normally I'm a quiet guy and for me that above post is considered quite the rant by my standards.
But a permanent ban for a first offence... with the above post...

Lol and I noticed my username does not give any hint that I am perma-banned.
So people I made friends with there and were going to meet with will think I just faded into the woodwork.

Oh full disclosure I did post this pic in response to the political discussion on Canada becoming the 51st state with the message;
